Dream Team – Narcissus, Timberyard with a sprinkling from TLWC
When Narcissus, the floral and botanical goddesses of Edinburgh, get in touch and ask if you want to take part in a wedding table-top shoot… you say ‘hell yeah’.
The lovely Jenny, from their dedicated wedding team, reached out to ask if they could include a selection of our brass candlesticks to sit alongside their spectacular florals. We were also delighted to provide some of our candles to complete the look.
The shoot took place at Timberyard. Located in the heart of Edinburgh at the foot of the Castle, this authentic warehouse space with oodles of natural character is an amazing city centre find. You can DIY and style the space to your heart’s content.
The flowers, of course, took centre stage. The Narcissus team decided on a rich Spring palette; built around gorgeous mustard toned Combo roses, and utilising lots of seasonal flowers such as lilac, hellebore, muscari, narcissi, ranunculus, and tulips.
Narcissus wanted to the table to be fit for an informal but indulgent celebration meal. By creating the feeling that the flowers had just been picked from a lush and romantic secret garden, the display was wildly soft and romantic.
Speaking about the shoot Jenny reflected:
“The contemporary and stripped back feel of Timberyard is a wonderful setting to both reflect in the flowers, but also to play with taking the look to a more maximalist floral aesthetic than what we’ve previously created in the space.”
“The subtle tones of the beautiful candles completed the colour palette, their height brought further interest to the tablescape and the brass holders themselves a feeling of warmth and conviviality.”
We couldn’t agree more. So what’s the moral of this story…?
Just because you’re holding your celebration in a more minimalist industrial space, doesn’t mean you need to put your floral dreams on hold.
